Take us through your day- (2 stars)
Make this vlog style and take us through your day! Let us know what your plans are and what you are doing. Add some fun music and montages. Be creative and have fun with it!
I completed this assignment primarily between iMovie and Snapchat. I film all videos and took all pictures through Snapchat. I used Snapchat because I wanted to get that “speedy” effect in my videos. After collecting all of my media I dragged them over the media window in iMovie. I then organized them by chronological order in the timeline queue. Finally, I added music from my iTunes library. I added the song “Story Of My Life” performed by the Piano Guys.
College Snapshot – (2 Stars)
As a scroll through my photos for other assignments, I realized that I have some great memories from the last few years. Compile your favorite photos from your experiences, trips, hobbies etc and make them into a video. Try to organize them chronologically to tell your story as you work your way through college. Make the video at least two minutes.
I completed this assignment in iMovie. I started by pulling images from my Facebook. I thought this would be a good way to keep chronological order of my pictures throughout my three years here at UMW. After I collected all of the pictures I wanted to use I dragged them over the media window in iMovie. I then added them one by one in chronological order in the timeline queue. Finally, I added music. I use the website flvto.com to take audio from YouTube by copying the URL and adding it to their converter. After the music was downloaded, I clipped/edited it in GarageBand so it fit the length of the video.
Animal Dance Off – (4 stars)
Find any song and mash up a video of some animals dancing. Try to get the animals to move to the beat.
I completed this assignment in iMovie. When I read the description of the assignment the first thing I thought of was a vine of a parrot in a pet shop dancing and bopping along to some music. It was pretty viral. I took the URL from a YouTube clip of the video and converted it into an MP4 by using clipconverter.cc. After it was downloaded, I dragged the file into the media window in iMovie and added it to my timeline queue. Lastly, I added some music! I use the website flvto.com to take audio from YouTube by copying the URL and adding it to their converter. I used the song “Out Alive” by Kesha. I chose this song very carefully. I went and searched through almost an entire Wikipedia page for “songs about the apocalypse.” I decided this one was the most fun and fit the parrot’s style of dancing the best. Once the file was downloaded, I clicked and dragged the file underneath the clip.
