Week Nine

Week Nine

Week nine has been a blast! I got to go back into the swing of things; reflections, assignments, and Daily Creates. Aside from our typical schedule, I really enjoyed completing the Radio Show assignment. My group and I had a blast creating it and I personally loved hearing it on the DS106 Radio Show. The weeks are winding down… I’m looking forward to the fun we have left in The End.

Question of the Week

What’s one thing you definitely couldn’t live without during the apocalypse? How would you go about obtaining it?

I definitely could not live without the people I love it. If I didn’t have them I would be bored and lonely (obviously). I like seriously don’t think I could live without them. I’m not sure how I would go about in obtaining these people… Hunt them down? No, that sounds too scary. I guess I would just search far and wide and pray that one day I would be with them again.

DAILY CREATE – Cats or dogs? Who rules the internet?
Are you a cat person or a dog person? Tell us which animal is best, and why. Pictures are encouraged.
I completed this assignment by asking Google Images for “dogs in the apocalypse” I discovered quite a few things, including images from the movie “I am Legend” and the video game “Fallout.”

DAILY CREATE – Draw a still life

Put some objects in a kind of orderly structure and quickly draw/sketch what you see.

I completed this assignment with a mechanical pencil and my Lily Pulitzer agenda. I was Hyperion Espresso in Downtown Fredericksburg, Va and I found that my White Mocha was the perfect subject to sketch. I’m not a very good artist, but I try! After I snapped this picture I added the “Dramatic Cool” filter within Pictures on my iPhone.

Daily Create – DS106 self-reflection poetry

Write a poem that tells the story of you as a member of the ds106 community. Choose what ever poetic structure you like!

I completed this assignment in the form of a haiku instead of a traditional poem. I thought it would be a little bit more fun this way!
